My name is Anna, Maura is my second name.
I have an associate’s degree in Tourism. I basically made my hobby a profession as I always loved to travel and see new amazing places. My bucket list has always been full of countries and places to see, getting to know different cultures, travel a lot, meeting people from all over the world and to experience all the adventures that come with that.
I’m blessed with a talent in learning foreign languages. When I visited St. Petersburg, Russia, for two weeks with a youth travel group, I taught myself to write and read in Cyrillic. Unfortunately, I don’t understand the words I’m reading but at least I know the alphabet. During school I learned English as my second language and French as my third. During my studies I learned Dutch and had two years of Spanish. German is my native language.
Since all my internships in high school were at travel agencies and I always enjoyed traveling I was very sure what my goal was in life, so I left my small town life in Lorup, Germany, and went to the big city, Berlin, to study Tourism.
I finished my Tourism studies at BEST-Sabel Touristikakademie in Berlin, Germany, in 2013. During that time I was fortunate to spend three months of the summer of 2012 in London, UK, for an internship in Sales and Marketing at ASB Travel Solutions. It was an eventful summer considering all that was going on there at that time: the Queen’s Diamond Coronation Jubilee and the Olympic and Paralympic Games! I’ll tell you more about that later.
After finishing my degree, I got to work at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL, USA. I’ve always been a fan of Disney movies and this was just a dream come true. For one year, I worked in Merchandise at the German pavilion at Epcot. It was a great experience as got to meet so many people from all around the world, visit the parks very frequently and travel some of Florida and the USA, of course.
I finished my job in Orlando in January 2015 and went on a road trip through nine states along the American East Coast with my fiancé (now husband) to my new home, Middlesex, NJ, USA. That’s another trip I’ll tell you more about.
I decided to write this blog to share my travels with the world. I hope to be able to help people with their travel planning, connect with other travel bloggers and compare their experiences with mine.
So, please enjoy reading my blog, look at my pictures and don’t hesitate to leave a comment
